Seminars and Master Classes

Seminars

Each third week of the month, CÉRIUM receives high level Scholars, who come to share their most recent work at the Carrefour des arts et des sciences of the University of Montreal. Many disciplines are represented, from political science to geography, passing through literary studies and economics. Open to the public, CÉRIUM’s seminars are held primarily for Professors, Guest Speakers, Postdoctoral Fellows as well as PhD and Master Students. Some seminars are held in English.

Master Classes

The Master Classes (non-credited) are designed for Postdoctoral Fellows and Doctoral and Master Students who wish to develop their research projects, thanks to individualized advice from the best Scholars from Canada and abroad. The focus is on methodological challenges, the contribution to the advancement of knowledge and the development of skills. Registration is mandatory and each participant must prepare in advance a two-page sum-up of his/her work and send it at CÉRIUM (cerium-at-umontreal.ca). Some lectures are given in English.

Unless specified otherwise, Master Classes will be held at CÉRIUM, 3744 Jean-Brillant, Office 581, 5th floor, at 10 A.M.
