In his talk, presented in English, Prf. Mritiunjoy Mohanty will analyse the recent budget by the Modi government.

Abstract: The presentation will use the Government of India’s 2015/16 budget presented on 28th February 2015 to assess the changes in economic policy undertaken by the new Modi government to revive a flagging economy. It will also analyse whether these changes represent a departure from economic policies of Manmohan Singh’s UPA regime and are sufficient to return the economy to a sustained high-growth path.
