Presentation

Lydie C. Belporo is a PHD candidate at Criminology School of University of Montréal. Her doctoral research focuses on the governance of exits from violent extremism in sub-Saharan Africa. More specifically, she is interested in public policy and the paths of former Boko Haram recruits in Cameroon.

Her research is funded by the Fonds de Recherche du Québec - Société et Culture (FRQSC) and Lydie is recipient of a CERIUM writing scholarship, where she is a visiting researcher in Fall 2020.

Lydie Belporo was also the coordinator of the PREV-IMPACT Project for the UNESCO Chair Chair in Prevention of Radicalization and Violent Extremism in Canada ; and she is involved in the research project on youth exposure to violence in Africa with the Réseau d'Échanges Stratégiques pour une Afrique Urbaine Durable (RÉSAUD).
