Zhixiang Wang is a doctoral student in political science at the University of Montreal since fall 2022. As part of his thesis project, he compares different multilateral development banks to understand their policies for providing financial assistance to states with high risks. debt default. For his thesis, he plans to combine quantitative methods with qualitative methods. Generally speaking, he is interested in development finance, the issue of sovereign debt and institutional change in international organizations.
He also holds a bachelor's degree from Beijing Language and Culture University and a master's degree from the École Normale Supérieure - Université Paris Sciences et Lettres. He also has had experience researching issues in the Middle East and North Africa.
