Presentation

Lio Ando-Bourguet (she/her) is a PhD candidate in migration and interethnic relations at the Université Paris-Cité in France, working under the supervision of Laurent Faret (CESSMA) and Jane Freedman (CRESPPA). Her research focuses on anti-colonial practices, relations and reflexivity within solidarity networks in the Sonoran Desert, at the Mexico/U-S border. Born in Tokyo, she enjoys hypermobility as a French-Japanese dual citizen and has relations in Japan, France, the United Kingdom and Turtle Island, where she travels regularly as a non-invited visitor.
