Presentation
Pierre-Luc Beauchesne is a PhD candidate in sociology at the Université de Montréal. His research focuses on social movements and youth politicization in Morocco since the 2011 Arab uprisings. His thesis examines the political conflicts and student activism within university campuses. Building upon extensive fieldwork, his dissertation is aiming to propose a better understanding of the effects of authoritarian constraints on political competition between militant collectives and individual politicization of students within university spaces. In parallel, as part of the PLURADICAL research group and the TRYSPACES partnership, he took part in research about the representations of the phenomena of radicalization, and the spatial practices of young Montrealers in the urban space.
