Presentation
As a PhD. candidate in geography and lecturer at the Université de Montréal, Lama Boustani studies migratory narratives and journeys in the Americas through the intimate and sensitive experience of migrants. As part of her doctorate, she combines the arts, creativity and research in geography to capture the affects and emotions that migrants develop with the places and spaces they pass through on their journey, particularly in Montreal and Monterrey.
She shares a particular interest in knowledge transfer and has led several public exhibition projects. Through this approach she seeks to make her results accessible to the public, while including research participants in every step of the project.
Since 2019, she has worked on several research projects at UdeM's School of Public Health and ÉNAP, and is currently part of the Canada Research Chair in Adaptive Health and Social Services (CRC Sa3S) under the supervision of Lara Maillet.
