Presentation

Amadou Thierno Diallo is a doctoral candidate in industrial relations at the Université de Montréal. His research draws on strategic and configurational perspectives to examine the impact of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues on organizational performance through an international comparative approach. He pays particular attention to the social dimension of ESG, especially to issues affecting employees and workplaces.

Amadou holds a master's degree in finance and accounting from Sakarya University in Türkiye. Throughout his academic journey, he has developed multidisciplinary expertise at the intersection of management, sustainable finance, and human resources management. He also has professional experience in the banking and administrative sectors.

He has received multiple distinctions and scholarships, including the YTB scholarship from the Turkish government for his master's studies, as well as financial support from the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Société et culture (2025–2027), the Michael D. Penner Institute on ESG Issues (2024–2025), the Maison des affaires publiques et internationales (2025–2026), and the Interuniversity Research Centre on Globalization and Work (2023–2024).

His professional aspirations focus on academic research, as well as consulting in organizational strategy, sustainability, and human resource management, through an analytical and critical approach geared toward positive social impact.
