Lisa Vanhala is Professor of Political Science at University College London.
Lisa Vanhala is a searcher of a European Research Council seed grant studying the policy and governance of climate change-related loss and damage. She teaches global environmental policy, human rights and qualitative research methods. Her recent work focuses on loss and damage, climate change litigation and environmental legal advocacy. Her first book, Making Rights a Reality? Disability Rights Activists and Legal Mobilization (Cambridge University Press) won the Canadian Political Science Association Best Book Prize in Comparative Politics (2012) and the Socio-Legal Studies Association/Hart Early Best Book Prize Career (2012).
