Biography
Expert in the development of the labour market during the industrial revolution, Michael Huberman is interested in the effects of globalization on workers conditions and well-being in an historical and comparative perspective. Michael Huberman was a guest professor at the University of California in Los Angeles, at Davis, at Michigan State University, Cambridge University, at the University Libre de Bruxelles, at l'École des hautes études en sciences sociales and at the University of Geneva. In 2006-2007, he was awarded the Fulbright scholarship. He's Chsirman of the J.W McConnell Foundation's Chair on American Studies (CMEA)

My background is in economics and history. Early in my career, my research focused on the development of the labour market during the Industrial Revolution. I have since studied the effects of globalization on working conditions and well-being from a historical and comparative perspective.
